Fit

Who this is for

This is for UK companies that sell to other businesses, where the deal is worth a conversation and someone on your team can take that call — a founder, a sales lead, an account manager. It is not for consumer products, one-off announcements, or anyone who just wants a list to mail themselves.

The shape of it varies. A services business selling to other businesses. A specialist recruiter selling retained search to founders. A logistics consultancy selling into manufacturers. A software company selling to operations teams rather than consumers. What they have in common is not their sector — it is that somebody on their side can get on a call and talk about the deal.

What you do not have is a person whose whole job is finding the next company to talk to. Hiring one does not add up yet, and asking the people you do have to squeeze it in means it does not happen. If that is where you are, this is built for you; if it is not, we will say so.

The steps

How it works, step by step

The service runs as one lane: we build the list of matching companies, research each one, check the contact data, send an email sequence written for that company from your address, watch for the reply, and hand your team a conversation that has already started. A person is involved at exactly two points — agreeing the target at the start, and picking up the reply at the end.

  1. Companies

We agree who you sell to — sector, size, region, whatever actually describes a good customer. The system then builds the list of UK companies that match and keeps building it, so the pipeline does not run dry after the first batch.

  2. Research

Each company is read before anyone writes to it: what it does, who runs it, what it has said publicly. This is what makes the email specific rather than the same paragraph everyone else sends, and it is the part that takes a person the longest by hand.

  3. Contact data

A business address for the right person, checked before it is used. Addresses that do not check out are dropped, not tried anyway.

  4. Outreach

A short sequence, written for the company, sent from your own address. You see and approve the shape of the emails before anything goes out, and the volume starts low and rises as the mailbox earns trust.

  5. Reply

Because the email came from your address, the reply comes back to you, not to us. We see that it arrived and hold the follow-ups; the conversation is yours from the first word.

  6. Sales handover

Your team picks up a conversation that has already started, and the research on that company is in your hands before you reply.

Deliverables

What you get

Less than you might expect, on purpose. You get the outcome and the record of how it was produced, not another tool to log into.

  • Emails sent from your own company address, so every reply is already in your inbox.
  • The research behind every email, in the handover.
  • A monthly summary of what went out and what came back — or a weekly list of companies contacted, if you would rather see it as it happens.
  • One person at AIM who runs it and answers your questions.

Principles

What we never do

Answer as you. The email carries your name and the reply lands with you; we read that it came in and stop there.

Buy a list and send the same email to everyone on it. Every company is researched first, and the email says something that is only true of them.

Hide the volume. You are billed on emails sent, and you can count them.

Pricing

What it costs

Retainers start from £1,500 a month, billed on emails sent, plus a one-off set-up fee quoted on the call. The first step is a pilot: four weeks, 750 emails across 250 companies, £1,200, credited against your first month if you continue. The price moves with volume, and with whether you want the research on its own, with no outreach attached, handed straight to your team to work from.

Questions

Questions people ask before they start

How long before the first replies?

Usually the second or third week. The first week goes on agreeing who you sell to and connecting the mailbox, and the early sending is deliberately light, so the first fortnight is quiet by design. From then on replies usually begin landing in your inbox, and it settles into a weekly rhythm: what went out, what came back, and what to change in the list or the message if not enough did.

What do you need from us?

Three things. Who you sell to — sector, size, region, whatever actually describes a good customer. What you say once you get them on the phone, so the email sets up the conversation you actually have. And a mailbox on your own domain for the system to send from, so replies land with you from day one. About half a day of your time up front; after that we come back to you only when something needs deciding.

Can we see an example of the emails first?

Not before the call. Every email is written for a specific company, so a generic example would not tell you much. On the call we will show you the shape it takes and where the research in it comes from.

Does it work for our industry?

It works when someone can pick up the phone and talk about the deal — a services business selling to other businesses, a manufacturer selling to distributors, an engineering firm selling to contractors. It does not work when the customer is the general public, or when the whole sale happens on a website with nobody to talk to.

What if nobody replies?

We change the list, the message or both; that is what we look at every week. We do not keep sending the same thing and hope.

Do we own the data?

Yes. The list and the research are handed over if you stop, and the replies were in your inbox all along.

Are we too small for this?

Usually not, if you already have someone who is free to take the call when a reply comes in. What rules a company out is not size — it is not having anyone available to have the conversation.

How much does it cost?

Retainers start from £1,500 a month, and the first step is the four-week pilot at £1,200, credited against your first month if you continue. What it costs, above, has the detail.

Next step

Tell us who you sell to.

We will come back with what we would do and what it would cost.
